Summer 2010:
We’ll be maintaining the tree pits that we planted with Taproot volunteers along N 85th St in Greenwood and the plantings that we did last fall along the Fremont Ave N between N 86th and N 87th.
We’re kicking off our “TEST DRIVE LIFE” project with a fun(d)raiser this summer (stay tuned for details). Donations will go beyond our paid community beautification projects and will allow kids in the group to work with professional coaches who will help them to develop and test drive personal plans for thier lives.
The personal plans will help the kids to visualize the coming years and provide opportunities for them to try out new hobbies, investigate education & job training ideas and pursue paid internships in fields of work that interest them.
