1. Advocate for the “Community Schools” model starting with Licton Springs Community Schools

2. Strengthen partnership between school and home and between teachers and families. Incorporate an “advisory” like Granger High School + NOVA. Implement Personal Development Plans with Success Coordinators preK-12.
WORK:
Advocate for Seattle businesses to participate in job shadowing, internship and work study programs for middle school and high school students.
COMMUNITY:
Advocate for prek-12 mentors. Mentors can help students to develop their own Personal Development Plans, engage with their schools and teachers, navigate the prek-12 education landscape, and connect with opportunities to “test drive” their lives through the exploration of recreation, education and career pursuits that interest them.
GOVERNMENT:
Work with the government to develop model policy and legislation that responds to cost-effective strategies identified by The Achievement Gap Toolbox.
